Sports Physicals

Sports physicals are required by most schools prior to allowing a student to participate in a sports program. The purpose of this exam is to catch any health issue that may be exacerbated by prolonged sports activity or exercise.

A sports exam includes a physical exam as well as a review of the patient’s medical history. It can include checking vision as well as blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight. After a successful sports physical, your provider will sign a form so the patient is cleared to participate in his or her chosen sport.
